The majority of structures are based on inflatable technology because these systems enable rapid deployment with minimum setup labour. They are also easy and reliable to use. Durability, and the ability to withstand extreme weather conditions are other important factors to many clients and these criteria are also met by NIXUS advanced inflatable technology by Zepelin.

Above all, structures have to be safe, so all products are tested to the extreme. For example, all heavy duty inflatable shelters, such as the RIBS and PRO, are tested and proven to withstand wind gusts up to 100kph! The PRO-ELR (Extended Load Resistance) shelter is designed for missions with a snow load requirement of 50kg/m2 in combination with a wind load of 33m/s. Another safety feature is the ability of NIXUS inflatable shelters to suffer an air leak in one support tube without collapse or even significant distortion of the shape of the shelter.

Inflatable Tent

Low Pressure Tubes

Well proven inflatable tent system using seam welded tubes inflated to just 0.3 bar. Good for low load conditions, however is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and requires a pressure control system to add/release air to maintain the correct pressure.

Heavy Duty Tent

High Pressure Tubes

Uses seamless heavy duty tubes inflated to between 3 to 8 bar giving a much greater load bearing capacity for wind and snow, etc. Not sensitive to temperature variation so a pressure control system is not required. Ideal for extreme cold to desert applications.
